St. Paul's Foundation - In Memory Pages

In Memory of Irma Oliver

In early 2015, Irma was told that she had a heart murmur, that her aortic valve was not functioning right, and it needed to be replaced and that she was not a good candidate for open heart surgery. Irma was then referred to St. Paul’s Hospital to the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) team, Dr. John Webb and Dr. David Wood.

On June 5, 2015 Irma went to St. Paul’s Hospital to have a new TAVI put in place, before the procedure Dr. David Wood told her it was his goal to send her home the next day, as you heal better at home and she was sent home less than 24 hours after the procedure. Irma was awake for the whole procedure and the whole procedure was sent by live feed to a medical conference in Chicago USA. Two days later she was walking up hills with out stopping for a rest.

Therefore, we are asking for your support in Memory of Irma Oliver as your donation is going to help the TAVI team in their work.

Thank you for sharing your support today.
